Las Vegas mom Kyrsten Brown didn’t intentionally name her triplets after a sandwich. But she does find the nickname delicious.

Brown, who happens to have an identical twin sister, was surprised when her obstetrician told her that she was carrying triplets.

“Choosing three names at the same time was definitely a challenge,” she says.

Even so, she and her husband came up with two of the names rather quickly — one boy name and one girl name.

“I’ve always loved the name Jaymes for a girl, and it’s also a family name, so it felt really meaningful to us,” Brown explains. “And then we decided to spell it with a Y to give it a slightly more feminine feel. My name Kyrsten is spelled with a Y, and my husband Dayne is has a Y in his name too. So it just felt right.”

Dayne had a strong name preference for the name of their son.

“Baskyn had actually been at the top of my husband’s list long before we had kids,” Brown says. “Don’t ask me where he got it from because I still have no idea.”

Laughing, she adds, “We both loved it as a boy’s name, especially because we knew we could call him Baz for short.”

The couple was stumped on a name for their second daughter. Then they happened to be watching a rerun of “Cold Case” on TV, and a very minor character was named Polly.

“As soon as we heard it, it went to the top of our list!” she says.

Polly, Baskyn and Jaymes were born in exactly that order, and when Brown shared the good news on social media, someone commented, “Oh! PB and J! That’s so cute!”
